SESSION ONE: Meet the Internet - an introduction to the "information superhighway" focusing on history and nature of Internet and its uses in K-12 education.
SESSION TWO: Exploring E-Mail - understanding the uses of e-mail, the format of an e-mail address, and how to send a message with a focus on the Eudora software.
SESSION THREE: Net Surfing - an introduction to the World Wide Web with a focus on the Netscape web browser.
SESSION FOUR: Advanced Net Surfing - explore search engines and their strategies such as Lycos, Yahoo, AltaVista, LookSmart, DeJanNews and Excite. Use FTP to transfer and download files and software.
SESSION FIVE: Getting Connected - how to set up your own Internet account, choosing the proper equipment and provider to meet your needs.
