ACTIVITY - A FIRST LOOK AT THE WORLD WIDE WEB

The Internet connection has already been made and the Web browser program (we use Netscape) has already been launched. We will cover how you can do this in a later session. For a brief introduction to the possibilities of the Web, try this hands-on activity

  1. Click on the "Open" button in the Netscape menu bar.

  2. Type in one of the addresses below and press return. Be sure to type the address carefully. (NOTE: Although you Will see http:// at the beginning of the address, you do not need to enter this- Netscape does it for you.

  3. These sites offer background on the Internet. Have fun
