A Plan for Staff In-Service

TIPS FOR USING E-MAIL
- Type address exactly including all captals, periods and other punctuation.
- Never write anything that you want kept truely private.
- You may intend the tone differently than the reader so be careful how you write--use smileys. etc. to convey tone.
- Be especially careful of sarcasm.
- Don't make message too long. Break up long passage with double spacing so they are easier to read.
- Don't use bold, italics or other different word processing features - the computer may not be able to recognize them.
- Read your message over before sending it and make sure it's not something you'll regret. Once it's gone, it's gone and e-mail seems easier to send than a letter.
